Our Business travel insurance offers comprehensive travel insurance to cover most countries around the world for travelers on business.
You can choose between policies that cover you if you are performing manual labour or without manual labour. Note that policies that cover you for manual labour have a higher premium because the nature of the work has more risks attached.
Who would select Business travel insurance cover?
If you are travelling to a broad spectrum of countries in different continents for business purposes this is the most comprehensive travel insurance cover we offer. You should be below 70 years of age.
Highlights of this cover is protection for legal expenses and personal liability. The level of cover for emergency medical evacuation is high with 100 million rand cover.
Business journey excluding manual labour
The journey is primarily for business travel eg attend meetings, conferences, courses, visting suppliers, administrative capacity
Business journey for Expatriates (expat), including manual labour
- An expat is an individual living and working in a country other than the country of citizenship
- The journey is primarily for employment including manual work.
Definition of Manual Labour
Unskilled, semi-skilled and/or skilled physical labour involving working with the hands and/or operation of mechanical and/or non-mechanical and/or machinery and/or equipment and/or tools.
Business Plan Exclusive benefit – Alternative Employee and Resumption of Assignment
If an insured person suffers an unexpected death, injury, sickness, or return to South Africa for a family member who has died or is dying whilst on an international Journey during the insurance period resulting in repatriation to South Africa. We will pay the necessary and reasonable costs up to the amount shown on the Schedule of Benefits for either:
- Alternative Employee: Sending a replacement employee to complete the assignment or business activities of the insured person; or
- Resumption of Assignment: The necessary and reasonable costs for returning the insured person to recommence their business activities or assignment within 90 (ninety) days of returning to South Africa.
